Get ready for an epic adventure as Pokémon GO introduces a brand-new leveling system, capping at level 80! This update brings a host of exciting changes, including a rebalanced leveling curve, new rewards, and a fresh Daily Adventure Egg system. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:
Leveling Up to 80
- New Level Cap: Trainer levels will now go up to 80, with a rebalanced leveling system to ensure more frequent rewards.
- Rewards Galore: Expect increased storage capacity for Pokémon, Items, Gifts, and Postcards, as well as new avatar items starting at level 25.
- No Level Drop: Your current Trainer level will remain intact, and no player will drop in level.
Daily Adventure Egg
- Starting at level 15, you'll get a free Daily Adventure Egg to hatch a Pokémon and earn 10,000 XP.
- The egg will automatically be placed in your Incubator when you log in for the first time each day.
- You can only incubate one egg at a time, and it will hatch after exploring 1 km.
- The egg won't count towards your current storage, and it will include First Partner Pokémon from the classic games.
Avatar Rewards
- New avatar items will be available at various levels, allowing you to customize your Trainer's look.
- Levels 25-80 will offer a range of rewards, from the Poké Ball Cap to the Level 80 Jacket.
Leveling Up Rewards
- Leveling up will now grant increased storage for Pokémon, Items, Gifts, and Postcards, allowing you to go beyond existing capacity limits.
- These rewards are free and don't require purchase.
Lucky Friends
- Level 70+ Trainers have a higher chance of becoming Lucky Friends with Best Friends.
XP Requirements
- XP requirements for each level have been updated with the new cap.
- To reach levels 71-80, you'll need to earn XP and complete new Level-Up Research tasks.
Other Notes
- Avatar items from levels 40-50 won't be available post-update.
- You won't earn the Level 50 Jacket anymore.
- Keep any rewards you've already earned.
- Candy XL will still be earned at level 31.
- Powering up Pokémon to level 40 requires level 40.
- Mewtwo encounters will now be at level 80, with additional candy awarded at that level.
